Greeted by a friendly boy and his mother, who run a small convenience store at the top of the mountain. They climb ~1,700 steps each morning with all their amenities for the worn out traveler.
Monkeys overrun these temples. They are very territorial, however, for the monks who routinely make their way up and down the mountain, they are no trouble.
