It is both exhilarating and frustrating to try to intellectually grasp the true absurdity, complexity, and diversity of the world. While the regional histories of a nation inform cultural traditions and practices—which can inform subcultural microcosms—it is in the pursuit of their future where the respective ideas of progress embolden them. Life, after all, can be viewed as a stretch of the arm, a reach between the paradigms in an attempt to break the patterns that enslave us and reach for the ones that free us.

Through good fortune, I have been able to travel extensively; in the process, I picked up photography as a young adolescent. It was a mode of expression that came so naturally and without complication in a world of seemingly endless contradiction. My metaphorical lens has always been one that is both puzzled by the layers of paradox and riveted by the deep parallels that can be brought to light. Moments of miracle, and moments of pitfall, and everything in between. Photography offered a view of the world that was both critical and empathetic.

I’m driven by my curiosity for what could be around the next street corner or over the next hill, with the aim to capture fluid moments of people strikingly or compose my frame from awe-inspiring scenery.

Whatever brought you to my hole-in-the-wall of a website, thank you for passing through!
